Tanis iPhone Guide
Tanis is another choice for you to manage your SAB when away from home, very similar to myNZB. Although I personally prefer myNZB as it gives you more features for searching premium providers and more options; this is a worthy option as well. Tanis is VERY easy to setup once you have all your required information. First I would suggest checking out our guide to dynamic DNS so that you can easily manage your SAB when away from home, via Tanis.
- Download Tanis from the App store (price is currently listed at $1.99).
- After installing Tanis, launch the app.
- It first will prompt you for your SAB address, if you are using dynamic DNS, use that address. (i.e. ChickenDoctor.freedns.com).
- It will then prompt you for your port number, this will be your EXTERNAL port.
- Next it will ask if your SAB supports HTTPS, check this appropriate option whether you are using this or not.
- It will then ask you for your username and password for SAB, pretty self explanatory.
- Finally it should grab your API key via username and password.
Enjoy Tanis!
Any chance you could do a guide/review of SABMobile? It seems to be the most preferred SABnzbd+ app on iOS.. any reason you haven’t considered it?
I have not played with SABMobile, I’m a MyNZB user myself, but I have played with Tanis, will check out SABMobile and get a guide up for you on that. Thanks for the suggestion.
