2012 Super Bowl to Stream Online for Free

The NFL has announced that for the first time in history, the Super Bowl will be streamed live at NBCsports.com, NFL.com, and through Verizon’s NFL mobile app.  Viewers of these broadcasts will also get access to a bit more features, including multiple camera angles, in-game highlights, and live stats.

Cord cutters should be excited about that fact that no matter where they will be, Super Bowl XLVI will be available, as long as they have a PC, smartphone, or tablet with them.

Here’s how you can enjoy the game.

Watch Online

The Super Bowl will be streamed on both nfl.com and nbcsports.com. Each will be free of charge and broadcasted in high definition, fans will get multiple camera angeles, in-game highlights, and live stats. Kick off starts at 6:30PM est, just make sure you have Microsoft Silverlight and Adobe Flash installed.

Use Your Smartphone

Not near a TV during the Super Bowl? Don’t worry. Verizon customers have access to a NFL Mobile app that will broadcast the game.  Use your iPhone, iPad, Android device, or any other Verizon mobile device, and enjoy the game. We expect that the best viewing experience will be for those that can grab a 3G connection.

Streaming live sports has also been a challenge for cord cutters, so this is an exciting opportunity for those that haven’t had acess to football this season.
